In the jury-duty waiting room, Charlotte, a retired teacher, befriends a group of older women. Their conversation turns to the difficulty of navigating modern romance, and is interrupted by a young queer who challenges their views on consent. Skeptical, Charlotte decides to prove the intruder wrong by testing the theory with her husband Ed.
