Movie Night

Somehow the week managed to drag on, while at the same time Friday night came quickly, and just like that we were walking down the stairs of the club to movie night. Ash, my partner, owned a queer bar with a private BDSM club in the basement. Once a month, the community did a clothing optional movie night, and we had not been since Ash got out of the hospital. Everyone was doing just a little extra to welcome Ash back. The space was beautiful. Candles lit all around the room, a beautiful table of drinks and food, and all my favorite people lying about scantily clad. I walked over to my new friends and gave them all hugs.

“Y’all, the space is amazing.”

“Girl, it has been way too long since we all had fun. A celebration was necessary,” Michael said as he winked.

“Tell me about it,” Sam chimed in.

“Please tell me your cute ass is putting on a scene tonight Mel. My life is empty without watching your ass get smacked,” Michael said as I fell over laughing.

“You know that would depend on the big boss over there, but I will see what I can do. I don’t think she is recovered enough for a real show.”

Ash had been shot by some homophobic drunk neighbor a month ago and still had a long recovery ahead of her. If it weren’t for the shoulder brace, you wouldn’t be able to tell she was even injured....
