The beat of the bass migrated through the thick, sweaty air of my favorite night club. I was halfway through my first fishbowl of the night, and I could already feel the alcohol pumping through my veins. My eyes glazed over with lust as each lingerie clad bartender carrying a tray of shots walked past me. God, I loved this place. A crowd of a hundred hot bodies were half naked on the dance floor. Above the mass of people, swings hung from the ceiling with dancers somehow managing to dance, swing, and look sexy all at the same time, and the DJs were mixing the music just right. It all fell together to create an otherworldly bubble, where just for a few hours we could forget our lives and just give in to temptation, consequences be damned. And I had every intention of doing just that tonight. Sure, I was getting married tomorrow. Sure, my partner and their friends were all with us. But soon I would be drunk enough to not care.
“Hey Allie, finish that drink, and I’ll buy you a dance on the swing,” Sean shouted from across the table at me. My eyes went round with excitement.
“Done,” I winked at him as I chugged the last of my electric blue drink. Sean and I had been friends since my first day on campus. He never dated anyone, which was a mystery to me. He had adorable shaggy brown hair and was genius level smart....
