I clapped Roger on the shoulder and dropped into the booth across from him. Tony grinned from beside him and Lee nudged my arm when I ordered my drink. I settled my arm across Lee’s back and swatted him upside the head.
“Hey, asshat, watch the hair.” He smoothed his hair back in place while the rest of us laughed at him. I shook my head, sipping my beer.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, boy band.” Our laughter drew looks from nearby tables. As it always did. I flagged our server, Asha, a buxom brunette who enjoyed the tips and the dicks we’d given her over the years. She shot me a wink and headed to the bar before landing at our table with a full tray.
With our drinks refilled and food ordered, we turned our attention to the college basketball game on the tv. A replay, but none of us had seen it, so we cheered in all the right spots.
“Whoa, did you see that dunk?”
“That jump was amazing.”
“This boy band could never jump like that.” We all raised our glasses with a loud, “Booyah,” and drank them dry. Eyes glued to the screen, we finished our food and ordered another round of drinks.
A group of women slid into a table near our booth. Two blondes, a redhead, and three brunettes. One brunette, her short bob swinging around her face, swung her eyes to us and laughed. “Boy band?”
