As Aaron was figuring out the setting of his new laptop, he received a text from Jeremy:
Jeremy: [Library closed. A pipe burst on the top floor so they’re clearing it. Want to meet in my suite at 10? I’m here now and it’s loud but it should calm down by then.]
Aaron: [You’re trying to study in your loud suite?]
Jeremy: [Where else ima go? Frat house is loud too. And all the cafés are closed.]
Aaron: [Come over here. To my place.]
Jeremy: [You sure? I can wait until 10]
Aaron: [No you can’t. You’ll just be wasting your time. Come now.]
Jeremy: [Okay. Send me your address.]
Jeremy put it in his GPS and saw that it was walking distance, right across the street from the left side of the campus. He grabbed his books and laptop to study and left his room. His suitemates, Wayne, Gram, and Byron, had their doors open. Byron, who was a Junior like him and had the single room, was the one playing the loud rock music as all three of them sat in the vestibule playing a card game.
Topher, his roommate and frat brother, wasn’t there. Topher wasn’t around much since they became Omegas together. He was either hanging out at the frat house, or hanging out at the sister sorority house.
He was Wayne’s roommate last year but spent most nights his Freshman year sleeping on the couch in the suite, saying Wayne’s loud music, loud farting, and...
