Dark romance with a happy ending, but not super dark. I write to escape the trauma of life, not cause it. I want to write memorable love connections not uncomfortable moments that make you wish you could wash your eyeballs. Fascinated by the the capture/kidnap trope, I've created a pen name where I can explore all its nuances, freely. For me, this trope takes a character out of her life (against her will, without her consent) and gives her the thing she always wanted but could never admit. She's forced from survival mode into feeling again - and it hurts not because she's used, humiliated, abused and assaulted, but because change is difficult, even when it's the best thing that's ever happened to you.
